SPJ/LA Seeks Nominations for Annual Distinguished Journalist Awards

The Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is seeking nominations for the chapter’s 2011 Distinguished Journalists Awards, 2011 Distinguished Work in New Media Award and 2011 Freedom of Information Award.

Nomination forms must be submitted by email to Julia Seifer at Julia.C.Seifer@abc.com or faxed to Roberta Wax at (818) 993-5971, no later than Friday, Oct. 21.

The awards will be presented at the SPJ/LA annual awards banquet in the spring of 2012.

The Society of Professional Journalists is the nation’s largest and most broad-based journalism organization, dedicated to promoting high standards of ethical behavior and encouraging the free practice of journalism.
