A BIG thank you for those who joined us at this year’s Region 11 conference

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Society of Professional Journalists Region 11 conference.

The SPJ/Greater Los Angeles professional chapter organized the day-long conference at Loyola Marymount University on August 20, 2022. The conference was supported by the LMU Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts, English Department, and Journalism Program. Our sponsors included the California Black Media, the Los Angeles Times, Loyola Marymount University Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts, the Southern California News Group and NBC4/Telemundo 52.

Veteran reporters and budding journalists shared their experiences in the industry during a series of panels and workshops.

SPJ/LA's board members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this conference a success know who they are. Many of them would likely say it was a "labor of love" but it was also a lot of work for a group of volunteers.
