Snopes.com Editor to Speak at SPJ/LA’s 41st Annual Distinguished Journalists Banquet on Jan. 26
Brooke Binkowski, managing editor at Snopes.com, will be the keynote speaker at the 41st annual Distinguished Journalists Awards Banquet sponsored by the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. The Jan. 26 event honors local reporters in the fields of print, radio, television and digital media.
Binkowski, a longtime reporter, has worked in and around Los Angeles for more than a decade, including stints at KNX 1070 Newsradio, Southern California Public Radio and CNN. Binkowski likes to say when she is not telling people they're wrong on the internet, she's probably covering immigration and humanitarian issues along the U.S.-Mexico border.
