SPJ/LA Gives Special Thanks to Sponsors of 47th annual Distinguished Journalist Awards
The Society of Professional Journalists Greater Los Angeles Chapter would like to thank the generous sponsors that have stepped up to support our 47th annual Distinguished Journalist Awards and banquet.
LAist, the Los Angeles Times, Southern California News Group, Santa Monica College and California State University, Northridge have made it possible for SPJ/LA to host this special gathering which honors a handful of talented local journalists who have made a significant impact with their work.
These sponsorships will also help support SPJ/LA's six scholarships —totaling $9,500 — that are given each year to deserving LA-area journalism students.
The awards banquet will be held Oct. 25 at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, starting with a no-host reception at 6 p.m.
