SPJ/LA to Discuss #JournalismSoWhite and Newsroom Diversity at USC Annenberg

The Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the USC Annenberg School for Journalism and Communications and the Institute for Diversity and Empowerment at Annenberg (IDEA) is taking a deep dive into discussions about newsroom diversity and #JournalismSoWhite. Specifically, this event will look at journalism’s problem with diversity, the challenges reporters of color face, and why newsrooms have a difficult time retaining diverse employees.
