SPJ/LA and the L.A. Press Club Present: Horror Stories from the Campaign Trail


The Greater L.A. chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Los Angeles Press Club will present a night of scary stories from the world of politics on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Redwood Bar and Grill in downtown.

This just in … special guest appearances. You’ve seen celebrities read mean tweets on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Now get ready for the SPJ/LA and Press Club version.

Hear stories from:

  • Jessica Levinson, Loyola Law School professor and president of the L.A. City Ethics Commission
  • Conan Nolan, chief political reporter at NBC4

The evening will be hosted by KNX reporter Claudia Peschiutta.


We’ll also be taking submissions from the audience so bring your best stories!

When:  Wednesday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.

Where:  Redwood Bar & Grill, 316 W. 2nd St., Los Angeles, CA 90012

Cost: Free and open to the public.

Parking: There’s construction on Second Street in front of the bar and on Broadway. You can park at the lot on Hill Street.
