Save the Date: 48th Annual Distinguished Journalist Awards Banquet

The Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will hold its 48th annual Distinguished Journalist Awards banquet October 23 at the Castaway Restaurant in Burbank.

The event honors journalists who have achieved a record of accomplishments over the course of a career. This includes those working in broadcast, digital, audio, and print journalism. SPJ/LA also bestows a Freedom of Information award to those who help further the free flow of information and champion freedom of the press. Four outstanding students are also honored at the banquet.

Early bird tickets for the Distinguished Journalist Award banquet start at $125 for SPJ/LA members and $150 for non-members. Tickets will go on sale soon.
